What To Expect From A Modern HVAC System

April 6, 2022 / by Violet & Anna / Leave a Comment

Technology and innovation are altering our lifestyles, making them more convenient and comfortable. And we, as residents, want the latest modern solutions to be installed in our new apartments and homes and modern HVAC systems are at the top of the list.

Every day, the HVAC industry is modernizing and launching innovative, simple-to-use, and smart systems. These advanced solutions not only improve productivity, but they also save costs, allowing us to have a better experience. However, experts will always be required for furnace repair services or usual maintenance in order to keep our HVAC system running smoothly.

Here are a few features you can and should expect from modern HVAC systems.

High SEER Rating

Weather changes frequently, and older HVAC systems lacked energy-saving functions in varied climates or seasons. Summer dry heat differs from humidity, and newer HVAC systems produce different and more consistent outputs depending on the season because they have a higher SEER.

This is the ratio of a system’s cooling ability in a specific season, which has a direct impact on energy consumption throughout the year. If you live in a hot climate, your HVAC system’s SEER rating must be higher to provide you with energy cost savings. This will save you a significant amount of money each month.

If you don’t choose an HVAC system with a higher SEER rating, you will be screwed.

Better And Quieter Results

The scientific unit for measuring sound is decibels, and the sound of a simple conversation is 60 dB, whereas the sound of a washing machine or vacuum cleaner is almost 70 dB. Old HVAC systems were louder than washing machines, but as technology has advanced, we can now use silencer systems in HVAC designs to reduce sound and vibrations to a large degree.

The one that makes the least and smoothest sound is the finest in terms of quality, and it will make little to no noise while operating.

Better Air Filters

With the ongoing pandemic, having clean air around us has become more important, as Covid-19 and other pathogens can spread through the air as well.

Indoor air contains a variety of harmful pollutants, ranging from dust, pollen, and dander to mold and bacteria, smells, and chemical vapors. In fact, research suggests that indoor air quality might be poorer than outside air quality.

Modern HVAC systems have improved filtering systems and efficiently clean the air. These modern and more efficient air filtrations not only clean the air of dust and spores, but also disinfect it to a great extent, making your home germ-free and less infectious. Pollen allergies are fairly frequent all over the world, and these sophisticated HVAC systems can protect you from such allergies.

Better Controls And Adjustments

Smart switches and control from your mobile phone allows you to programme and set “away” modes, change and keep air temperature, control humidity levels, and optimize convenience through the apps.

Smart HVAC systems can also detect, identify, and resolve issues by monitoring sensors in your unit This can help to prevent unplanned shutdowns and distinguish minor issues before they can become major problems.

Final Thoughts

HVAC systems are a serious investment in a property that has a significant effect on your health and ability to relax and enjoy the living. If your existing unit is more than eight to ten years old, a newer system may be able to provide you with more efficiency and benefits than your previous one.

As a landlord, you have so many options for making sound investments in your apartment, such as a new ceiling or restroom renovations. However, with a high-efficiency HVAC system, calculating the return on your home comfort investment is simple. You will notice a decrease in utility right away.
